Flexible Audio Playback for Commercial Environments
TASCAM has introduced the AP-10, a compact two-channel announcement player designed for automated audio playback in commercial and public environments. From airports and theme parks to offices, exhibitions and visitor attractions, the AP-10 provides a reliable and flexible solution for delivering scheduled announcements, multilingual information and automated audio content.
As AV installations become increasingly integrated, the ability to trigger and manage audio playback through external systems is essential. The AP-10 supports GPIO and LAN-based Open Sound Control (OSC), allowing playback to be controlled through sensors, timers, signage systems and other connected equipment.
With five playback modes, including binary playback supporting up to 250 audio files, the AP-10 can accommodate a range of applications. Program playback also enables audio files to run in predefined sequences, making it particularly useful for guided tours, exhibitions and procedural instructions.
Playback can be started and stopped directly from the unit or triggered externally, giving integrators greater flexibility when configuring standalone or fully integrated systems.
Designed for Modern AV Integration
The AP-10 has been developed with flexibility and ease of integration in mind. Support for OSC enables remote operation from tablets and computers, allowing integrators to create customised control interfaces using compatible applications such as TouchOSC.
This connectivity makes it possible to coordinate audio playback with video, lighting and other AV technologies, creating more streamlined and automated experiences across different environments.
TASCAM's free Playlist Editor software further simplifies system configuration, enabling users to prepare playlists offline and adjust individual playback settings, including volume, intervals, trigger delays and fade times.

Designed for permanent installation, the AP-10 features a robust 1U half-rack metal chassis, making it suitable for environments where rack space is limited.
Additional features include power-on playback, ducking functionality and dual-mono operation, allowing the left and right audio channels to be used independently. A protective SD card cover, Euroblock cable holder and panel lock help ensure dependable operation in professional environments.
Optional rack-mount and shelf-mount kits are also available, providing additional flexibility for different installation requirements.
