Fohhn has been developing and manufacturing sound systems with Fohhn Beam Steering Technology for 15 years. This enables precise control of sound dispersion without the need for mechanical tilting or curving. It provides flexibility and results in crystal-clear sound and best speech intelligibility without interfering reflections.
The sound beam can be tilted or directed upwards by up to 40 degrees. And the beam opening angle can be selected between 0 and 90 degrees. Both can be adjusted in fine 0.1 degree increments.
Another feature: the acoustic centre can be moved along the entire length of the line. This can be a decisive advantage if, for example, there is a lectern with a microphone in front of the system. Moving upwards prevents feedback.
Balcony or gallery also need sound reinforcement? Fohhn Two Beam Steering enables you to add a second beam that can be controlled separately. This does not change the dispersion of the first beam.
With the "Side Lobe Optimize" function, unwanted side lobes and the resulting reflections can be effectively suppressed. This improves the precision of the sound reinforcement even more.
Beam steering is also possible in the low-end. Our Beam Steering algorithm can also control the subwoofers when they are positioned or flown as an array: No matter which Fohhn subwoofer, whether vertical or horizontal sub-array.
To control Beam Steering in real time, we provide Fohhn Audio Soft. The intuitive software makes it easy to adjust the beams using the mouse wheel and also includes all other DSP and control functions. For the optimum Fohhn workflow, the beam parameters can be easily transferred from Fohhn Designer simulations.
Fohhn has been successfully developing and manufacturing high-quality loudspeaker systems since 1993 in Nürtingen near Stuttgart, Germany. This location is not only home to their R&D, but also assembly, logistics, and sales.
Starting in January 2020, all departments are housed in the same, brand-new building complex. Each individual system is manufactured by hand on-site and then subjected to stringent electronic, acoustic and visual quality inspections. Most suppliers are located in Southern Germany and supply Fohhn with high-quality electronic and mechanical parts.
Fohhn prides itself as being responsible towards other people, the environment and sharing a responsibility for our common future. This mindset drives them to act consistently at various levels. That is why Fohhn relies on short supply chains, regional suppliers and quality components from Europe.

Beam steering line source systems
The sound dispersion of the Linea Focus systems can be adjusted individually and in real time with Fohhn's Beam Steering Technology. The result: outstanding sound and excellent speech intelligibility, even in rooms with long reverberation times and hard surfaces.
Point source loudspeakers
These extremely powerful 2-way compact systems and subwoofers can be effectively combined and scaled and are optionally available with 100-volt technology. This series also contains weather-proof models.
Networked power amplifiers
The DI amps form the high performance class with models up to 2 × 4000 W and are suitable for both fixed installation and touring applications. The integrated Fohhn DSP offers pro audio tools and specially designed presets for all Fohhn loudspeakers.
