L-Acoustics

Redefining Sound for Every Space

Since 1984, L-Acoustics has engineered the physics of sound from its base in France, pioneering Wavefront Sculpture Technology and powering the world's most demanding tours, festivals and venues. That same precision now shapes premium installed sound - performing arts centres, hospitality and nightclub spaces, corporate presentation suites, higher education and the finest custom yacht and residential installations. As a Certified provider Distributor for L-Acoustics, Audiologic now brings their best-of-breed loudspeaker solutions to UK AV integrators and installers.

Over 40 Years of Pioneering Audio Engineering

Engineered and manufactured in France

L-Acoustics was founded in 1984 by Dr Christian Heil, who set out to redefine the physics of sound. His Wavefront Sculpture Technology, introduced in 1992, produced V-DOSC - the first full-band coherent line array - and established the engineering principles that still define every L-Acoustics system today. Four decades on, that same French design house has grown into a global leader, powering over 10,000 venues worldwide, expanding into fixed installation in 2012. It is this unbroken thread of engineering - not a portfolio built by acquisition - that makes L-Acoustics the pioneer's choice for performing arts, hospitality, corporate presentation and demanding custom install projects.

Product Spotlight - Installation Focused

L-Acoustics pairs concert-grade loudspeaker engineering with the industry's most advanced spatial audio platforms - the same combination that defines its work on the world's biggest stages, now built for fixed installation. For AV projects where performance and immersion define the end-user experience - performing arts, hospitality, corporate presentation, education and the finest custom residential and yacht installations - it is this combination that sets L-Acoustics apart.

X-Series

Coaxial point-source loudspeakers built for short-throw precision. Fixed-install variants like X6i and X8i add IP55 weatherproofing for a compact, discreet footprint - ideal for hospitality, theatres, retail, education and luxury home or yacht spaces.

Syva (part of S-Series)

Syva's colinear source design delivers concert-grade fidelity and SPL with minimal visual impact. Paired with Syva Low and Syva Sub for extended low end, it is the natural choice for nightclubs, live venues and high-end hospitality interiors.

A-Series

Compact, concert-grade loudspeakers scaling from 50 to 5,000 capacity. Fixed-install A10i and A15i variants pair with the KS21i subwoofer, bringing true touring-grade performance to performing arts and large-format install spaces.

Subwoofers

Purpose-built install subwoofers - KS21i for A Series, Syva Sub for S Series and SB18i for X Series - extend bandwidth down to 32 Hz without sacrificing the compact, discreet footprint every fixed installation demands, while matching the output of their paired range exactly.

L-ISA Immersive

L-ISA Immersive gives sound designers a blank creative canvas, positioning and moving audio elements freely in 3D space. It transforms performing arts centres, corporate presentation suites and theatres into fully three-dimensional listening environments.

HYRISS

HYRISS turns a single room into an ever-changing sound environment - moving seamlessly from an intimate dinner ambience to full cinematic immersion or live-concert-scale sound. It is purpose-built for the finest HNWI yacht and residential cinema projects.

Signature Technology

Behind every L-Acoustics range sits a set of patented, purpose-built technologies. This is the world-class engineering that makes the difference in a demanding or high performance installation project.

Wavefront Sculpture Technology

Since 1992, WST has been the foundation of every L-Acoustics line source. Built around the patented DOSC waveguide, it was the first technology to sculpt a coherent, constant-phase wavefront across the full audible spectrum - the physics still driving every system today.

Coaxial Point-Source Design

Pioneered by L-Acoustics in 1989, coaxial design aligns high and low-frequency acoustic centres into a single point source. The X Series uses this to deliver smooth, consistent tonal balance off-axis, with no minimum listening distance - ideal for close-in install spaces.

Colinear Source Design

Syva's colinear source arranges drivers along a single acoustic axis, combining the fidelity and output of a line source with the compact, discreet footprint installers need - delivering concert-grade sound without a concert-scale visual presence.

L-DRIVE & L-SMART

Every amplified controller, including the install-specific LA1.16i, runs L-DRIVE loudspeaker protection and L-SMART adaptive power management - safeguarding every zone while maximising headroom, so systems perform reliably around the clock.

Source Intelligence

Source Intelligence uses real-time machine learning to separate voice from background noise, removing up to 40 dB of unwanted signal. It gives presenters and performers exceptional clarity and gain before feedback - built for town halls, theatres and stages alike.

L-ISA Spatial Technology

L-ISA is L-Acoustics' object-based spatial audio platform, giving sound designers a real-time canvas to position audio freely in 3D space or align it precisely with the visual source on stage - proven since 2016 in the world's most prestigious theatres and performing arts venues.

The Magic of HYRISS

HYRISS core technologies

HYRISS leverages three core L-Acoustics technologies:

L-ISA precisely positions instruments in space, mimicking live concert settings. Ambiance uses state-of-the-art sensing microphones and the L-ISA Processor II to transform room acoustics. Anima utilizes advanced algorithms and machine learning to localize, spatialize, separate, and immerse audio content beyond its original design, transforming ordinary sound and music into extraordinary experiences

A dense, high-resolution grid of loudspeakers, driven by sophisticated processing and creative software tools, gives HYRISS a level of listening quality and acoustic comfort that conventional multi-room or surround setups simply can't match. Rather than bolting speakers onto a room, HYRISS blends hardware and software into one adaptable system, shaping spatial sound to suit whatever the space is being used for at that moment.

Experience HYRISS at L-Acoustics' London Experience Centre

L-Acoustics has an outstanding customer experience facility in Highgate, London - built specifically to prove that a single room doesn't have to sound like a single room. Multiple spatial audio technologies work together within the same four walls, letting visitors move between completely different listening experiences without changing location. The centrepiece is HYRISS - short for Hyperreal Immersive Sound Space - which brings the same spatial audio thinking used on major concert stages into homes, retail environments, hospitality venues and corporate spaces.

Visit to the Highgate facility is by invitation only. As official Certified Provider Distributor, Audiologic can arrange a guided visit for you - we'd love to take you there and facilitate what is a truly out of this world audio technology demonstration and sensory experience of what is possible.
