Tech Tuesdays - IntelliMix Room Software Explained

In Last week’s Tech Tuesday, we had a walkthrough of the IntelliMix Room software from Shure. This week, we will be taking a more in depth look at the program and how it may be the ideal solution for your application.

IntelliMix Room is a software DSP which utilises the same proprietary algorithms as Shure’s renowned P300 IntelliMix Audio conferencing processor. With demand for installs increasing more and more each day, integrators need a solution that can ease the many complications associated with these installs and put time back on their sides. This program removes the need for hardware and offers a software-based approach for AV conferencing. This allows system integrators to deploy solutions in a much more time-efficient and cost-effective way than traditional hardware DSPs.

Not requiring dedicated hardware can be ideal for universities - particularly in lecture theatres which have hybrid learning spaces. In these types of applications, it is often preferable to have a solution that is user friendly and requires little intervention from the end user to give them one less thing to worry about when starting their lectures. Once programmed, all they will need to do is ensure that the IntelliMix Room is selected in their VC software, and they will be good to go.

The IntelliMix Room software has many features including Noise reduction and AEC which can be best suited for Video Conferencing in Boardroom applications. A unique function of this software which puts it above the rest is the AI Denoiser which eliminates abrupt, everyday sounds which are often amplified in video calls and therefore disruptive to the far end caller. This feature is especially useful in meeting rooms with multiple participants in one single space where the client has less control over these sounds, and are more likely to face this kind of issue as a result.

There are a variety of licence types to choose from when considering the IntelliMix Room as your conferencing solution. These licences come as either 8 or 16 channel licences and are available as 1-year, 3-year or 5-year durations.

With effortless integration, IntelliMix Room is an innovative solution for Video Conferencing.
